5 Best Sci-Fi Movies You Should Watch

Thursday, June 14th, 2012

Here is the list for 5 best sci-fi movies. One thing is true while trying to list the best sci-fi movies, there are so many to choose from!

1. War of the Worlds: 1953
It covers 3 days during which a worldwide Martian invasion nearly destroys mankind. The invaders come down in meteor-like ships and begin terra-forming Earth by ray-zapping humans, in order to take over the planet. We’re helpless to stop them and all seems lost until they all suddenly die from a mysterious infection caused by viruses we’re immune to.

2. Back to the Future
Not quite the same feel as the other movies on this list, but still sci-fi, and still one of my favorites of all time. After seeing this It is sure that you must wanted Michael J. Fox’s jacket, and you wanted to take up skateboarding. This movie has 97% on Rottentomatoes.com, what idiot gave this movie a bad rating?

3. Godzilla: 1956
Still the best prehistoric, radiation-breathing, dinosaur monster movie ever made. First released as a 1954 Japanese film called Gojira, it was enhanced for its American release by adding footage starring Raymond Burr and an English soundtrack.

The Americans have been testing A-bombs in the South Pacific. Now there’s a giant, radioactive dinosaur rising from the sea and attacking Tokyo. What to do, what to do? After several attacks on the city, a scientist with a highly effective ‘bomb’ of his own saves the day. It inspired many sequels, including the updated 1998 remake. Loved it too!!

4. Star Wars (original trilogy)
Star Wars no doubt holds a special place in history with the sci-fi genre. It is only have the original trilogy on here because those three movies really spent a lot of time developing story and mood, special effects were not the main goal.

5. Inception
After this movie people can not imagine what Christopher Nolan will come up with next. they thought maybe he would start sliding after his amazing The Dark Knight, but Inception does not disappoint. It is incredibly fast paced and mind bending all the way through. So much action in different realities at the same time, It was seriously worn out after it was all done.
