ALIEN AUTOPSY (12A)

THE STORY: Video pirate Ray Santilli (Dec) gets his hands on secret footage of an alien autopsy conducted at a US military base. He has plans to pass it to a dodgy German drug baron. But when the tape starts to decompose he has to recreate the footage from scrap, aided by his buddy Gary (Ant).

WHAT'S GOOD? This oddball scifi farce is miles away from the Geordie duo's cute TV outings and sees them indulge in some mildly gory stuff as they recreate the alien autopsy. They also romance the same woman (played by delightful Nichole Hiltz). Fans can be reassured that Ant 'n' Dec retain their fresh banter and boyish charm, while a strong supporting cast (including comedians Jimmy Carr and Omid Djalili) help give the film a classy and accessible quality.
